Jack came with me the other day to get a new pair of running shoes.
I needed new running shoes because I've actually been running. (Victory.)
I have struggled with
finding making time to exercise for a while. Being a working mom is hard, yes. But there are plenty of working moms who work out, and I'd like I need to be one. I've read that if you schedule your exercise time like a meeting, you won't cancel it or skip it. Because it's a meeting.
So, I have been running on my lunch break. It's a meeting that I have scheduled with myself. As luck would have it, we've been having
totally awesome 100+ degree temperatures. This makes my plan pretty nuts. But, it's working, so I'm not asking questions.
Anyway, shoes. I brought Jack along to make sure I picked the right pair. His research was diligent.
He decided the pink socks were good, but the blue shoes were not. (I agreed.)
He took a strong liking to the pink shoes.
Once he had tried them on and examined them from every angle, it was a go.
They are the Brooks PureCadence. Jack tested, Momma approved.
Here's to, you know, *meetings.*
